Brotnjo embodies Herzegovina’s winemaking culture, boasting a rich history of grapevine cultivation and fine wine production. Among the most popular varieties are Blatina and Žilavka, and local winemakers use traditional methods to craft wines of exceptional quality.
Brotnjo can also take pride in hosting the oldest wine cellar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in Gradnići, built in 1855 by the then-parish priest Fra Petar Bakula.
