Winery Čitluk
Winery Čitluk was established in 1957. For over half a century, it was part of the state agricultural economy, and since 2002, it has been privately owned. The winery has a respectable, long-standing tradition of producing high-quality wines. The vineyards stretch from Mostar to Čitluk, covering 400 hectares of various terrains, altitudes, positions, and soil types.
The carefully selected vineyard locations and favorable microclimate, combined with a wise respect for tradition on one hand and continuous modernization on the other, have resulted in wines with distinctive aromas, full body, and harmonious taste. Produced with the help of modern technology, these wines have preserved their original varietal aroma and the unique character of the region.
The wines Blatina de Broto and Kameno are a perfect expression of the authenticity of local varieties, while the wines made from international grape varieties reflect the soul and heart of Herzegovina. Their bouquet carries a gentle Mediterranean breeze imbued with the scents of rich nature, sun, and soil.
The wine is made from grapes grown in the winery’s own vineyards to achieve the highest possible quality. Winery Čitluk is the largest wine producer and the largest wine exporter in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to neighboring countries, the winery exports most to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, China, India, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Canada, accounting for over 50% of its annual sales.
At all regional wine fairs where wines are judged (such as Vinovita Zagreb, Gast Split, Orahovica, and the Mostar Fair), the wines of Winery Čitluk rank among the top in terms of the number of awards won.
